I need recommendations for good free software for video editing 3 basic editing video cameras?
I have 3 Canon Optura 50 cameras for video and a Sony Vaio PC with 1G of RAM and hard drive 400 – I'll be shooting live performance art with three cameras – a straight – a second at another angle and third, from where convieneint – then I would be able to just edit the 3 videos in one – all benefits ranging from 3 to 5, probably no more than 10 or 15 minutes so it's not that I'm trying to make an entire movie or nothing (if that matters) – only very basic editing of 3 video cameras to make a version end and then placed on a website – I am very new in this area so I apologize if I seem a fool here
I applaud your ambition. This will be a labor intensive task I assure you, but should be fun too. You will not find free software which allows you to mix multiple video sources. This is of great things dollar. But you can find economic programs that will allow you to edit any number of DV clips together to give the illusion of life change. I would recommend obtaining a copy of Pinnacle Studio 9 to make this project. It is easy to learn, very versatile, and does not use a lot of computing power. You can find these on eBay for about $ 30 to $ 40. I do not recommend any other version of the Study of the configuration. It will be important to match the balance White of the three video cameras as much as possible. You could do this either in the manual white balance mode, or if you're lucky, the preset modes White balance is aligned closely enough that the viewer will not be able to tell the color difference when changing from one camera to another. It is also very useful to use a blackboard or other device to make the benchmarks audio and video at the beginning and end of each segment recorded. A camera with a snap and a flash can work very well as a substitute from a list provided all the video cameras can see and hear at the same time. Mark your tapes with the board (or camera) at the beginning of the recording and the end of the show before it stopped recording. This allows you to see how much drift time between chambers video. They do not all operate at the speed of it and have a way to measure this is invaluable in the editing. In general the trend is small, so you can not see five minutes, but it is likely that in the longer time periods. From all the video cameras rolling at the same time with a remote control can also simplify later things to minimize the traveling time to the beginning of the tapes. Dump the video tape into the computer as DVD quality MPEG video files and have in it. Not recommend using the full DV quality as it is not necessary, even if you transfer the edited video on DVD.
